In spite of recent improvements in healthcare, there are still many areas that need improvement, and the statistics remain alarming at the moment. For example, approximately one out of every six children born in Sub-Saharan Africa today will die before reaching the age of 5. African women also have a 100-fold higher mortality risk than those in first-world countries. Our goal is to change these distressing statistics by working with change agents in each county we visit to bring the best healthcare possible to millions of people in sub-Saharan Africa.
We are combining our efforts with change agents-local healthcare professionals, NGOs, governments, investors, and the private sector to provide life-saving treatment and medical care to the most deprived rural areas of Sub-Saharan Africa. Our organization is based on the idea that all of humanity is equal, and that medical care should never be limited to any particular segment of society. Therefore, we have a primary purpose of ensuring that as many rural and underserved regions of Africa are provided with medical care.
One of our most sacred beliefs is that every life matters. Ever since our charity was founded, the Petronille Healthy Society has strived to “pay it forward” and help others in the same way that we have received generosity and grace in our own lives.
There are far more significant results on a community and societal level when we work together to accomplish goals. We call upon the universal wisdom of relying upon each other and loving humanity. We believe that our combined efforts can change lives and significantly improve conditions in sub-Saharan Africa.
Most of the people we assist in the region are affected by extreme poverty and have almost no access to sufficient medical care, primary education, or adequate training. We aim to provide these disenfranchised, weak, and poor people with their medical, education, and training needs.
